At a recent wedding I attended they had wine cork place holders to tell us where to sit:

(Yes that is me drinking a chocolate milkshake at a wedding. Got a problem with that?)

I had never seen wine corks used in this manner before. Indeed I had never even thought about place card holders before but realistically letting people know where they are to sit is a vital part of any wedding reception so why not do it in a fun way?

While they may be new for me apparently they are really popular and you can pick up all sorts of decorated ones from places like Etsy.com
