Here’s what I got in my September 2011 Birchbox box.

I was a member just under a year ago and got 2 boxes, then they mysteriously stopped with no explanation. It very well could’ve been my fault, but I didn’t get an email explaining what had happened so I just forgot about Birchbox as a whole – until Chelsea mentioned them on her style blog. Seeing all the goodies she got made me resubscribe.

September 2011′s Birchbox items didn’t do much for me, which is why this particular Birchbox reviews aren’t as positive as I’d like. Keep reading for more though. The Birchbox staff said they assembled a package of some of their all time favorite products, but clearly I’ve got a different aesthetic then them.  Perfumes? Eh. Night creams? Got a ton of ‘em. Moisturizing hand sanitizer? Not a germ-phobe (hard to be in a house full of boys).

(There was also a Birchbox “Friendship Bracelet” I decline to picture. Seriously? A friendship bracelet from a company? Gag me. I do like Birchbox, but that came across as a way to fill the box rather then a genuine gesture for the customers.)

I do like the feel of the Jouer Lip Enhancer Conditioning Lip Treatment. Nice and smooth.

Overall, I’m more looking forward to next month’s selections. When I was a member before, I loved the boxes I got, so I anticipate lots of good samples in the months to come. Not every package will fit you 100%! Join Birchbox here, it’s only $10 per month.
