Thinking outside the box...

Ever feel like gift registries take the fun out of gift giving???? The excited recipients register for all the wonderful things they need, and you go out and buy it for them.

Yaaaaay . . . . . . . . .

Don’t get me wrong – I AM ALL FOR REGISTRIES. Recently, Jim and I had our very own wedding AND baby registry. I think its important to give your loved ones all the necessities they need to start their lives out on “the-right-foot”.

But where’s the excitement and surprise in that?? Half the fun of giving and receiving gifts is the thrill of opening the mystery package and hoping the recipient looooves what you hand-picked for them! Registries are kinda like knowing what you’re getting for Christmas in October!!

In my efforts to “think out of the box” – literally out of the Crate and Barrel white and black box – I decided to package a recent engagement gift in a unique way.

The Registry Gift , REVAMPED!

Extra Items in Basket

Moylan's & Marin Brew Co. Beer Of course I had to add some Moylan’s & Marin Brew Co. Beer to go with those Pilsner Glasses and Party Bev Server.

By packaging my friend’s wedding registry items in a unique way; their predictable – but definitely needed – engagement gift took on a whole new life, making it a more personal sentiment.

*I love me some gift baskets!! Check out my Homemade Baby Shower Gifts as well!!
