4 Years Of Use: My Clarisonic Review

Two fo my favorite things on sale at Sephora right now…
The Clarisonic face brush bundled with Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple face wash. It’s what I’ve been using for 4 years.
My cousin, the adorably stylish and better dressed Chelsea, was asking if the Clarisonic was worth it so I gave her my Clarisonic review:

No joke, I feel D-I-R-T-Y if I don’t use the Clarisonic. It does a fantastic job of being gentle and thorough.
I’ve read a lot of Clarisonic reviews where people complain that it didn’t get rid of their acne, their sunspots, their wrinkles, etc. It’s unrealistic and naive. This is a brush for cleaning your face folks! It doesn’t do anything else. You’ve got to be using an appropriate cleanser for your needs, goals and skin type so as not to make things worse (Purity Made Simple will work for just about everyone, except those with the dryest of skin). A lot of people use too harsh a cleanser, or even a scrub every night, because their face just doesn’t feel clean enough, is dull from dead skin and never has that bright, soft glow that new, fresh skin has. Enter the Clarisonic.
If you’ve got horrible acne, go see a doctor. You can screw around for 10 years trying different over the counter things with varying degrees of success, or you can go to a dermatologist and get it fixed in a few months. It’s covered by your health insurance too!
As for the Clarisonic, I wrote that it only does one thing, and that’s true – but it does a damn good job of it.
Highly recommended, one of my favorite products and one I’ve used consistently for 4+ years, never subbing it out for something else.

I just got one after your recommendation and I really like it. It definitely makes my face feel great and fresh after I use it and beats my old method of exfoliation — scraping my dead skin off with my nails, is that creepy?
