I had the toughest time finding the right neutral lip color until a couple of days ago.  Every time I tried to achieve a neutral lip color, I felt like it would wash me out or make me look pale and sick.  Not pretty!  I had fun all winter with bright purples, pinks and reds, but with Spring here, I’ll be wearing bright colors and I wanted something more neutral for a lip color.

This time, I walked into the mall on a mission!  I prefer going into the MAC counter at Nordstrom or Macy’s vs. the MAC store.  I’ve found that the employee’s there are much nicer and more patient.  After trying on a ton of shades, I finally found a shade that brightens my face!  I’m in love with my new ‘Shy Girl’ lipstick from MAC.

MAC describes Shy Girl lipstick as a coral beige but I feel like it has a pink tint in it too.  Just enough to make my lips have color but so neutral and light it will go with anything!

This particular color comes in the cremesheen finish. What I love about MAC’s cremesheen finish is that I dont have to apply a gloss over it. It wears naturally and the pigmentation is fantastic!  It’s just a great every day shade and brightens up my face once applied.

Quick Tip: Make sure the Mac Shy Girl lipstick is never in the direct sun or heat, because of the cremesheen formula it tends to melt!
