Need To Cure Bloating – Naturally? I Tried This Drink

Recent surgery combined with the, shall we say ‘blocking up’, effects of pain killers has me feeling very puffed up and bloated.
I needed to know how to cure bloating naturally and luckily I remembered a blog post I had read back in December from celebrity trainer Valerie Waters called the ‘Puff Report’.
In this report Valerie shares tips and tricks she uses herself and with her celebrity clients to negate the effects of overeating, air plane travel and drinking too much.
I already drink lemon water so I thought I would try out “The Valrise” which is a drink Valerie recommends to consume first thing in the morning to cure bloating naturally.
Ingredients:
4 oz. coconut water (I used 120 mls)
2 tablespoons of chia seeds
1 teaspoon of powdered greens
These are the brands I went with simply because the chia seeds and green drink were already in my kitchen and the nudie coconut water was the first one I saw at the shop.

I mixed the greens with the coconut water first as I like to get all the lumps out:

Then I added the chia seeds to the mix:

And then I drank it
Not sure if I was supposed to tip it down the back of my throat or if I was supposed to chew the chia seeds. I ended up doing both just to make sure :p
Depending on your fondness for the ingredients I don’t see why you can’t play around with the amounts. For example I drink the greens everyday but I mix 1-2 teaspoons in 1 litre of water and drink it throughout the day, so the taste is less potent for me usually.
This was the first time I have tried coconut water and it was a weird taste for me. It wasn’t horrid though so I will drink it for at least four days as Val suggests that in four days or less of following her protocol I will be feeling slimmer.
**Update**
So it’s been four days since I started drinking The Valrise.
To be honest I’m not feeling much different. When I first consume The Valrise I actually feel very bloated, I guess from having all those chia seeds expanding in my stomach.
The fibre in the chia seeds do get things moving and I can see why this drink would be good for you, so I’m going to continue on drinking The Valrise for another week or so as I have all the ingredients anyway.
