As the owner of some massively wild and curly hair the invention of the hair straightener has made my life sooo much better.
Ok ok I know it hasn’t solved the world hunger crisis or anything really important, but to a girl who has curls that just won’t stay in a ponytail, a GHD hair straigntner is a life saver.

In this video I share my process for getting my hair straight using the GHD IV Styler.
I’d love to know how other people do it.
Do you find you need product?
Have you found a way to get rid of the static that aways happens to me?

I think the heat has fried my brain and I can’t spell now.

Can’t be worse than me, I just spelled your name wrong on Facebook!
Re: flat irons – I have an older version of this: http://www.sephora.com/singlepass-professional-straightening-styling-iron-P257526?skuId=1236371 by T3. It’s great, it’s got the ions and all that jazz to leave hair soft afterwards.
I ALWAYS use product, and it does help with static. Right now I’m using some leftover Brazilian Blowout creame, but anything helps, I have a bunch of samples of Frizz Ease right now and even that does an OK job.
But nothing will help your hair not frizz, not get static, not freak out like a Keratin Straightening Treatment or Brazilian Blowout. Now THAT’ll take care of you for 3-4 months.

I had my hair ‘chemically’ straightened last year (not sure which process it was, don’t think it was the Brazilian one) and LOVED IT.
Not sure if this picture will work but:

I was going to get it done again, had the appointment and everything but talked myself out of it. I have a love hate relationship with chemicals. But i’m itching to get it done regularly…

I’ve got some Moroccan Oil from a Lust Have It pack, might give that a go to control the static.

I LOVE Moroccan Oil. That’s a good one.
Re: chemicals – I know, I know… But I WANT MY HAIR TO BE EASY TO MANAGE! So I throw caution to the wind and use them.

Lol well whatever you’re doing it’s working!

I need to have it re-done, it’s pretty much back to normal and not awesome. Right now it’s taking me about an hour to do my hair. INSANE. I want my life back, LOL!
The other thing I do is shower at night and then put my hair in a low ponytail to let it dry so I only have to straighten the ends, which still takes FOREVER, but it helps… That way the top dries mostly straight without heat, and doesn’t get poufy and crazy.

OMG you do have patience! I am so glad I have the opposite “problem” and can get the job done with my curling iron in under 5 minutes! I would NOT have the patience for 45!
What we won’t do to look good huh?
