It’s so exciting to receive a package in the mail! Especially when you know (or at least hope) that it contains some awesome products.
I heard about it last year when they first started but only got around to subscribing this month. And what a small world, it turns out the lady behind Lust Have It lives in Tasmania too.
On to the goodies!
February 2012 Lust Have It Review
My thoughts on the products in the box, were they ‘Lust Have’ or ‘Lust Not’?
Taut Gold Standard Collagen Infusion Mask
When you pull the mask out of the box and apply it you look really scary:
Aside from looking like Casey Jones from the TMNT the feel of the mask was weird. You pull the mask out of the sachet and it is slimy and wet, presumably the collagen and try to figure out how to unfold it without tearing it.
The material that the eye holes were cut from were still attached so when I applied the mask I was not sure if I was supposed to press the flaps on to my eyes or not. I went with not.
The instructions say to pat the excess product into your skin after you have removed the mask. There was a lot left on my skin so it took a while and after I had finished my skin was sticky for a while.
For me the Taut Gold Standard Collagen Infusion Mask was ‘Lust Not’.
Davroe Hair Wellness Tame Lemon Grass Detangler
This product smells like a hair salon which was cool. I didn’t have tangled hair so I just sprayed it on the ends of my towel dried hair and combed it through. My hair was a bit greasy when my hair dried. But I’m willing to try it again with completely dry hair just to see what happens.
The Davroe Hair Wellness Tame Lemon Grass Detangler was ‘Lust Not’.
Sass n Savy Rose Lavender Hand n Nail Repair Creme
When I saw this I was like *yawn* another moisturiser. When I opened it though it smelt really good.
It passed my test for moisturisers of “Can I use my iPad/iPhone after application?”
I could and there were no greasy marks on the screens!
There was only enough in the sample to use it on my hands once so I can’t really comment on it’s long term effectiveness but for me the Sass n Savy Rose Lavender Hand n Nail Repair Creme moisturiser is ‘Lust Have’.
Lancome Juicy Tubes
I have wanted to try Lancome Juicy Tubes for YEARS. I have given gift boxes of these for Christmas presents before but never purchased one for myself.
It applied easily and it didn’t run off my lips, it stayed put. There is no flavour to it which for me is not a big deal. It is a bit sticky though, so you might want to pay attention when kissing people on the cheek as it will come off on them.
Overall for me Lancome Juicy Tubes are ‘Lust Have’.
Lush Stimulating Ginger & Fennel Sugar Scrub
I can’t stand the smell or taste of fennel so I was not looking forward to this at all. But to my surprise the smell was not overpowering (unless you stick your nose in the bag it came in).
As I tend to get bumpy and irritated skin from shaving my legs I decided to use the sugar scrub before shaving in the hope that the exfoliating action might help.
I broke pieces off the main product, got them wet and ‘scrubbed’ my legs before shaving them. I was really happy with the result! Although my skin was still a bit irritated (and who can blame it really), there were no ugly red bumps!
I still have about half of the Sugar Scrub left so I will definitely be using it all.
For me Lush Stimulating Ginger & Fennel Sugar Scrub is looking like a definite ‘Lust Have’.
Overall I’m happy with my Lust Have It box and look forward to seeing what I get next month!
