Another Reason to Love Target – Xhilaration Strapless Maxi Dress

I have been coveting a new summer Maxi Dress for sometime now. To me, the Maxi really is the perfect dress. You can jazz it up with heels and accessories for a summer wedding, or just keep it casual with flip-flops and a denim jacket for a backyard BBQ. It’s so versatile!
During a recent trip to Nordstrom, I came across this beauty: the Jessica Simpson Sweetheart Charmeuse Maxi Dress. The dress SCREAMED summer. After examining the price tag – sadly – I made the decision that this dress and I were not meant to be.

As I was rushing through my shopping list about a week later at Target, I happened to pass by the Woman’s Clothing section, and THERE IT WAS!!!

The Xhilaration® Juniors Strapless Maxi Dress!! Simple. Colorful. Lightweight. All the characteristics I liked about the Jessica Simpson Dress, but CHEAP!!! Was it too good to be true?!?
As I headed to the dressing room, all the possible reasons the dress wouldn’t work were running through my mind. Weird cut . . . poorly made . . . they won’t have my size. NOT THE CASE AT ALL – The dress was PERFECT. I loooove it.
- Now I’m ready for summer!

I saw the Jessica Simpson dress in the Nordstrom catalog and LOVED it, and then thought, “Oh yeah Michelle, because you totally have occasion for $120 satin strapless dresses. Like every other day.”
But the one you found makes sooo much more sense – it’s a little more casual, and it’s multicolor, faded vibe. Great find Christy – and it looks amazing on you!

@Casey- with the money you save when buying this dress, I say you crank up the heater, invite some friends over, and throw yourself a luau- complete with mini umbrella cocktails.
